An Educational And Pleasure Trip To Huatulco

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

What is there to learn about this former fishing village in the southern state of Oaxaca in Mexico? If you are a nature lover, an environmentalist, a historian, a marine scientist, mezcal aficionado or a coffee lover, Huatulco or Bahia de Huatulco as it is officially known is the destination where you hit two birds with one stone – learning and relaxing.

Huatulco is located in the Pacific coast bounded by the Sierra Madre with its foothills converging with the white beaches of the Pacific.  It is a coastal town endowed with nine bays, three of which are currently developed as top resort destinations. The mountains and the valleys with its rich vegetation are a nature lover’s haven, while the Mexican government’s master plan for ecological preservation is enough to tickle the sensitivities of a true environmentalist. The San Augustin Bay was one of the commercial ports used by the Spaniards during the time of the colonization of Mexico, and only recently, an extraordinary archaeological find was discovered at the Copalita Point Eco-Archaeological Center. The coast of Huatulco has a wide expanse of coral reefs that serves as habitat to a variety of fish, crabs and turtles. For coffee and mezcal drinkers, the mountains of Huatulco will beckon you to the organic coffee farms and maguey farms where you get first hand knowledge from growing to processing to tasting.

Discovering the treasures of Huatulco will leave you wondering how one place can be so endowed with so much beauty and history. So bring along a friend or your family and together experience that rare opportunity of mixing knowledge with pleasure. Visit the National Park, the Iguana Sanctuary, the Botazoo Ecological Park, La Gloria coffee farm, and the Copalita waterfalls and river. Stay in one of the condominium beaches for your extreme comfort and delight.

We are the proud owners of a completely furnished, fully equipped, 1 bedroom, and 2 bath luxurious condo/suite at Camino Real Zaashila Hotel Resort at Huatulco, Mexico.

Huatulco is a place yet to be inundated with tourism, a place still in its infancy of development. One of the first projects the Mexican government undertook was water purification and filtration in the entire Huatulco area. This means that visitors to Huatulco can safely drink the water and eat fruits and vegetables without endangering their health with the dreaded “turista”.

We spend time enjoying this beautiful place ourselves, but it is mainly investment property for us and we are in the process of booking rentals for our unit. In addition we are rental agents for a few other owners.
Camino Real Zaashila Resort is a five star facility and is very exclusive, definitely a class act. Camino Real Zaashila’s “book” rates for suites are presently $300-$500 plus 17% tax per night, which is more than double, that of our condo/suite rental rate. As Huatulco develops as a resort, and during peak season, we will rent our condo at a higher rate, but right now our rate is extremely low to encourage people to experience this beautiful place for themselves NOW. You will definite experience pampered luxury at an affordable price.

Please share our information with other interested friends who may also want to take advantage of this opportunity. Since we are agents for other owners, we can often accommodate more than one party in different units at the same time and offer two bedrooms, three bath units that sleep 10 persons.
